The Awards

It is sometimes difficult to get good news into the media about the drinks industry but the Responsible Drinks Retailing Awards can do just that.

The awards recognise those businesses that do not just exist within the law, but are going out of their way to make sure that the products that they distribute are sold in an appropriate, and responsible way - thus reducing the antisocial impact they can have in communities.

Now in its fifth year, following its successful launch in 2004, the Responsible Drinks Retailing (RDR) awards have become established as the most credible initiative for the drinks industry. Government representatives not only attended the event last year but also actively support the initiative.

Participating in the awards offers consummate benefits, they provide a platform for you to promote your business, reward your team and highlight your achievements and offers the benefit of extensive coverage within Off Licence News, the Morning Advertiser and local media.

The categories have been revised this year to recognise the growing number of achievements and initiatives in the field of responsible drinks retailing, particularly within the public sector.

All of the winners will be unveiled at the prestigious industry awards lunch at the Landmark Hotel, London on 11 November 2008. Trophies will be presented by, Gerry Sutcliffe Minister for Sport, Gambling and Licensing.
